FASHIONPLATE- HAMPTON TANK AT GREY LADY MTK
This week’s fashionplate takes us east of the city to Montauk. I love Grey Lady in the city so I’ve been wanting to check out the sister location in Montauk in the old Harbor space by the docks and another fav the Hideaway. It is updated a bit but has most of the old bones of Harbor. We made ressies but if you come early before 8 you probably are fine without them. If you haven’t noticed there has been a heatwave in NY as of late so I just kept things casual with our Hampton striped pocket tank. I started with a coconut margarita which was unique and delish. My girl had the sangria which she also enjoyed. I really was in the mood for clam chowder so I decided to do that and app. The clam chowder was fresh, creamy and had lots of clam in it. I also got the bacon wrapped scallops which were amazing with seasonal fresh veggies. My friend got the tilefish which she enjoyed. Everything is super fresh. Yes, the menu is limited but there is plenty on it that I want to try. Our waiter was uber knowledgeable about the more unique fishes. We learned a lot about lionfish, as she was debating between these two entrees which was an interesting little history listen.
See how I styled our Hampton tank below for this fashionplate.
