Repurposed Vintage tee at Don Angie
This week's fashionplate features a Preppy & Punk repurposed vintage tee at Don Angie. In case you have been living under a rock Don Angie is the new cozy Italian resto in the West Village with that lasagna for two that everyone is talking about and is all over Instagram. It's a good looking lasagna. Reservations are hard to come by unless you can make a 5:30 or a 10:30 time slot. I decided to surprise the boo and make the earlier res during the week. We arrived fairly promptly and were seated right by the door on a rainy day. He didn't want that table so we asked to be moved and were moved two tables down. They gave us complimentary aperitifs which was a nice touch. We got the house salami and cheese which was good, although we didn't love the house made waffle crackers, the weren't savory enough for us. The waiter recommended a fab red for me. We then of course dove into that lasagna for two which was perfect for us without ordering anything else. It also came with garlic bread. The lasagna was lighter and felt less carb filled than the typical lasagna you're used to but still had all the cheese I love. We were too stuffed to order dessert. Mid way through our dinner filled up with lots of girl gangs and a few couples. The overall service was good and the maitre de gave us his card to call him next time we wanted to have dinner there. Definitely will one another rainy cold day when we're craving carbs. See how I styled this fashionplate with a preppy & punk repurposed Ramones shirt below.
