Fashionplate- Henley Bodysuit at Nur
This week's fashionplate features the Tasch henley bodysuit at Nur. Met one of my dear friends for a part business/part bestie catch up session. As creatives who own our own businesses we like to multi-task. Even though we got here around 6pm on a Thursday reservations were booked up so we grabbed two seats at the bar. My friend already had a martini when I got there. Unfortunately they had a surprise visit from the department of health when I got there-so that meant no food or cocktails, so I settled on champagne. After 45 minutes still no food or liquor so we got a full bodied red. The bartender was super friendly and nice and kept us drinking while we were waiting, then finally we could order.
We decided to start with the challah bread that came with cured honey and sour cream. This was yummy carby goodness, we were told you can't go wrong with any of the breads. We then ordered cocktails, I got a cardamon buck which was pretty good. We also got the Syrian caesar which was one of the best caesars we ever had. The mix of greens and za'atar added a great kick. The appetizers were better and bigger portions than the entrees unfortunately. We got the octopus while yummy wasn't the best to split. We also got the lamb special which came with two lamb chops and a small piece of tenderloin with some lentils which while good was tiny for the price. Overall it was a buzzing scene with young professionals enjoying Thursday night and had a nice open ambience for an intimate restaurant. We both don't mind dropping more money on a great restaurant we just wish the portions were a bit larger for the entrees. See all the OOTD and meal deets below on this fashionplate.
