Love me some British style Indian food and love that they opened up at Drunken Munkey downtown in the West Village. Met one of my junior league on an Indian summer evening for an early dinner. Got a a Pimm's Cup No 1 to start while I waited for her to arrive which is one of the most refreshing summertime drinks ( I know it's Fall but it felt like Summer hence my outfit.)
She arrived and promptly ordered bubbly because she is nothing short of fabulous. We split the chili cheese toast which is heaven for me. We also got the chicken samosas and the lamb kebabs both of which are tasty but I'm a cheese whore. More drinks were ordered, I switched to a bubbly elderflower cocktail. We ordered our mains. I got my standby butter chicken tikka masala with garlic naan, amazing. She got the biryani which a rice pilaf that baked with naan on top, an impressive looking dish.
